I have been an active member of the Parish since 2001, and have taken on a variety of roles over the years.  I retired in 2016 and since then I have been testing my calling to preach.  I was really pleased to get my letter from Bishop Peter in spring 2018 authorising me as a Local Preacher.

Mark returned to St Andrew’s in 2007, after spending 17 years in Yorkshire. Mark is an economics graduate who qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG. His career has been spent in the not-for-profit sector as a finance director of various charities. Mark is currently one of our local authorised preachers and is Hon Treasurer of the Churchyard Maintenance Trust. He is married to Lesley and has three children and a dog called Tommy.

Lisa was ordained in 2018 and served her curacy in the Diocese of Southwark. She joined the parish of Hornchurch as Associate Minister in 2021. Moving into the parish with her is husband Scott  with their cat Jurgen and dog Nuno (who has quickly gained his own ‘celebrity’ status, especially at The Bridge, where he enjoys weekly fuss!).

The PCC (Parochial Church Council) is the Board of Trustees for the Parish. The PCC shape our aims, direction, mission, ministry and vision as a parish, and so make a real difference to our life together.

The PCC is made up of members of the congregation, who are elected to represent the wider worshipping community, our parish wardens and the clergy.
