A child referred to the charity may be suffering with emotional scars from trauma and abuse in their young lives. Dandelion time through the help of it’s centre helps children to reconnect safely with other children and adults and learn to trust again.

The centre is in a natural environment to encourage children to slowly and gently reconnect. It helps the child and their wider family to understand and pull each other through the hard times. The natural environment is perfect for this as it helps the children to become sensitive again in an undemanding natural place where nature can nurture and heal.There are crafts which offer a more tactile approach with pottery, baking and also animal care. Over time there are 78% who have more confidence from attending the centre and go on to have a full and productive life.

Dandelion Time has grown from a fledging charity in 2003 to an established organisation that has now transformed the lives of over 1,000 children and families.
